You can set two background colors, which will be used in patterns, gradients, and blends. The button on the toolbar lets you specify table size and mark the top row as the header with two clicks the table palettes allow other aspects-from borders to text formatting-to be modified quickly and efficiently. While tags aren’t even mentioned in NWX’s feature list, they may be one of the program’s most powerful features. ![]() A color-filled circle will appear to let you select all the document text that’s the same color as the current selection if it’s different than the document default an underlined “a” selects character formatting such as underline and italics a ruler (which longtime Nisus Writer users will recognize) selects for tabs and margins. Most of the other tags appear as needed to provide context-sensitive selection capability. In the bottom right of the window in the status bar you’ll see a series of small icons, which NWX calls “tags.” Some tags are always present-the magnifying glass and percentage show the zoom level, the flag shows the current language, and the clipboard allows access to NWX’s multiple clipboards, including the ability to edit them in separate full editor windows. It offers a relatively limited set of icons beyond the default set shown. NWX also has a standard Cocoa toolbar (shown above in the small icon, no text view). In addition to collapsing palettes as shown, the palettes can be rearranged within a group, put into new groups, and even dragged out of the drawer completely. In this screen shot, the group is named Writing. NWX’s most distinctive user interface feature is the tool drawer, which contains different sets of palettes that can be grouped together. This helps make NWX competitive with other alternative word processors-but it’s the unique features that set it apart from the competition. In September 2004, Nisus introduced Express 2.0, adding some of the most-requested features including styles, tables, and footnotes. The original release of NWX was promising, but it lacked in both features and performance and met with lukewarm response from new users and disappointment from old Nisus fans. Nisus bought Composer, hired Jolley, added some of Nisus Writer’s unique features, and released Nisus Writer Express 1.0 in 2003. Concurrently, independent developer Charles Jolley was working on a word processor called Okito Composer that, while aimed at the low-end market, took full advantage of OS X technologies. ![]() With the advent of OS X, Nisus faced a choice of Carbonizing Nisus Writer or starting over with a Cocoa-based application. Price: $70 (boxed) $60 (download) $45 (upgrade)įrom its first release in 1989, Nisus Writer gained a following as a power user’s word processor in the pre-OS X world for its sophisticated macro capability, regular expression-based PowerFind, non-contiguous text selection, and other features that, 15 years later, are still rare. ![]()

![]() ![]() The sushi pizza, which the waiter told us would be "big", was completely underwhelming and covered with onions which weren't even supposed to be on it. Imagine going to a wing joint and ordering the hottest fieriest sauce on the menu, and that's about how they served edamame. We started with the spicy garlic edamame, which came out so fiery hot that it went unfinished. Every item we ordered had a serious problem. I have no idea how anyone could enjoy this restaurant unless they were getting drunk at the bar. Wow! What a let down! Google maps seriously failed me this time. They even talked us into some delicious sorbet, which you will come back to try again because it’s so good!Ĭheck this place out, it’s a perfect dinner place, impeccable service, and the price wasn’t bad at all and it’s well worth it! We then slowly made our way toward the entrees, of which they had a great selection but it wasn’t overwhelming. You have to try both you’ll remember the taste of both for ages! They recommended some appetizers that were too good to pass up, blue fin fatty tuna, and white fish carpaccio. We got a couple drinks to start the night off and they were a good pour, and tasty. The service was fantastic and they always checked on us, which is impressive since this place is always busy. When you walk in the ambiance is perfect, slightly dimmed lights and it makes you fee perfectly relaxed. Always reserve ahead, this place is always busy busy! We checked this place out when we first arrived and we’re lucky enough to find a table. The first stop in Vegas that you will never forget! A bright portable table lamp was on the table, making it very nice to be able to see both the menu and the food as well. Service was very good and pretty fast, with their servers utilizing tablets for ordering. The shrimp, calamari and fish tempuras were all excellent. We had two rolls, rainbow roll and something wrong, both very good. All the nigiri was fresh, and served with perfect rice proportion. The salmon skin salad was very big, and had a lot of fried skin delicious! The spicy garlic edamame was very good, spiced just right with lots of garlic. The only issue I had was with the rather tasteless cucumber salad, which was nothing to write home about. They also have individual prices and lunch specials for those not needing all you can eat. The red dinner menu is available all day. They have an all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner. But, it was very nice to try different Japanese restaurant in Calgary.I was impressed by this place. The prices of the food were expensive in this restaurant. In summary, both my friend and I love Chicken Teriyaki more. If two people share this dish, I would like to recommend people to order more stuff to eat. The Nigiri Sushi Special was not that excited, which were fresh raw fish on sushi rice, included 8 pieces nigiri sushi and 2 pieces maki roll. It was a great deal for two people to share. The salad was in Japanese style so delicious. There were large pieces of chicken and the taste was very awesome. The taste of the chicken teriyaki was very different from other restaurants. The Chicken Teriyaki was in the large portion and came with a salad with house dressing and a bowl of rice. After we ordered the food, our food came out the kitchen very fast. We ordered $9.50 Chicken Teriyaki and $16.50 Nigiri Sushi special to share. The server was very friendly and helpful, who helped us. We had very hard time to order our lunch. The menu was very simple, but there were no many selections and no pictures. After we sat down, the server came to us and brought drinks and menu to us. Even though it was weekdays, the restaurant was still very busy. We arrived at the restaurant around 1 pm. My friend and I had a late lunch at Sushi Hiro Japanese Restaurant. For example, if a creator were to die in 2002, their works’ copyright would last throughout the end of 2072 and enter the public domain on January 1, 2073. According to current law, from 2073 works by creators who died seven decades earlier will expire each year. In the same manner, works published in 1928 will all be in the public domain as of January 1, 2024, and this cycle will repeat until works published in 1977 all become public domain on January 1, 2073. Īll works first published or released in the United States before January 1, 1928, have lost their copyright protection, effective January 1, 2023. Overall though, these aren’t enough to change the fact the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro for Xbox provides an absolutely amazing audio experience on Xbox. The fact the decent microphone isn’t retract-to-mute is also a missed opportunity, and the need to have a cable running to the DAC and then to the Xbox also means you’ve got something else to potentially get in the way (or trip over) during a gaming session. The main drawbacks are the very high price ($279.99/£249.99) which easily makes it one of the most expensive mainstream wired gaming headsets going right now, and the ear cushion material it’s a form of leatherette - and in my experience with other headsets, that tends to split or degrade after a while, especially in hot conditions or very heavy use. Three semicircular canals contain receptor cells for determining angular movements of the head. This labyrinth is made of three semicircular canals and a snail‐shaped cochlea (see Figure 1).įigure 1. The three major regions of the ear are the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. This double‐layer labyrinth structure is found throughout the following inner ear structures. Perilymph fills the space between the two labyrinths, and endolymph fills the inner labyrinth. The canals consist of an outer bony (osseous) labyrinth that encloses an inner membranous labyrinth. The inner (internal) ear, also called the labyrinth, is a system of double‐walled canals.Contraction of these two muscles restricts the movement of the eardrum and auditory ossicles, reducing damage that may occur when they are exposed to excessive vibration from loud noises. Two muscles in the middle ear, the tensor tympani and the stapedius, connect to the malleus and stapes, respectively. The auditory tube allows pressure differences between the middle and outer ear to equalize, thus reducing tension on the eardrum. A third opening leads to the auditory (Eustachian) tube, which connects the middle ear to the upper throat. A second membrane‐covered opening to the inner ear, the round window (secondary tympanic membrane), lies just below the oval window. Synovial joints connect the incus, the center bone of the auditory ossicles, to the malleus and stapes on each side. The malleus at one end connects to the eardrum, while the stapes at the other end attaches with ligaments to the oval window, a small, membrane‐covered opening into the inner ear. These bones, called the malleus, incus, and stapes, act as a lever system that amplifies and transfers vibrations of the eardrum to the inner ear. It contains three small bones, the auditory ossicles. ![]()
